Description of the job:
Working for Lidl UK who had purchased the former HJ Sock Factory in Hinckley Leicester. Collins Demolition Ltd were contracted to Remove all Licensed and Non-Licensed Asbestos and remove from site to licensed facilities. Soft strip buildings of all fixtures and fittings and remove all arisings from site to licensed facilities. Demolish buildings down to slab level, segregating all material into appropriate skips as demolition progresses, and remove all material from site to licensed facilities. Crush all bricks and blocks to 6f2 material and leave on site for re-use. Rip up floor slabs and crush all material to 6f2 and leave on site for re-use. Rip out foundations to a depth of 1.5M below ground level and crush to 6f2 material and leave on site for re-use. Rip up all concrete hardstanding’s from around the site and crush all material to 6f2 and leave on site for re-use. Rip up all Tarmac and remove from site to licensed facilities. Backfill all voids from foundation removal and boiler houses with 6f2 material.
Part of the building was adjacent to the main entrance of Cadent Gas Network this element of the works had to be done at weekends and a partial road closure had to be undertaken.
Sure Environmental Ltd were bought in to remove both the Licensed and Non-Licensed Asbestos for us.
